Hey guys! Since there are so many YouTubers playing a lot of the same games.. I have decided to start a "1k gameplay episode guideline" (I could probably come up with a better title for it..) XD
Basically I am not going to upload the next episode of a series until the current video of that series hits at least 1k views. This is to ensure that I am uploading content that people actually want to see me play. ^^ Once a gameplay video hits 1k views I will have the next video of that series uploaded asap. ;D
I hope you all like the idea. It not only helps me determine what I should upload to my channel but also gives you the opportunity to influence what is shown on my channel. ^^

I think you should play what you enjoy and find most interesting, regardless of views. Many of my favourite big YouTubers like Robbaz seem to play what they like more than anything. And that comes across and works for them.
As the popularity of vlogs shows, people watch for you much more than the games themselves.
If the game is interesting, so much the better, but that you are having fun and that's coming across is the most important thing, I believe.

I've never started a playthrough of a game that I wasn't interested in playing. I've only started this guideline so that I know what everyone is interested in watching on my channel. It takes me a minimum of 3 hours to record, edit, render, and upload each video that I make for YouTube. If at least 3% of my viewers aren't watching a certain series than my time is better spent on making other videos. That being said I wouldn't stop playing a game just because it's not popular on my channel. I just wouldn't dedicate "YouTube" time to it. I would still play the game offline and enjoy it by myself/ with my family. ^^

Yeah, it's a pity it takes so long to edit, render and upload. Actually, this reminded me of streaming and made me wonder if there should be a thread here suggesting games you might want to stream, which tend to be a bit different from Let's Play type games.

I completely understand and support the reason for you doing this Chiib, i think its a great idea.
However would you be open to the prospect of making your videos longer then the current 15-20 minutes each? Your 1k view idea may mean that content is released slightly slower then usual and it would be nice to have a slightly longer video after that wait. Also, a longer video would help to get a better taster for whatever new series you upload and potentially draw a bigger Audience in.
